The Login Page for Canvas Looks Different - Students

New Login System for SMCCD

Note: As of January 14th, 2019, SMCCD updated the sign-on process for Canvas. 

What will be the same?

• Student will still login with their Canvas credentials

What will be different?

• The login page will look different. It will be a simple login box.
• The first time you login, you’ll be prompted to select security questions. These will help you recover a lost password or unlock your account.
• You can reset your password via security questions, email or text message (if you filled in your phone numbers)

2)     The New Sign-On System – This might be a confusing change initially for faculty & students because it looks dramatically different.  If you are trying to log into Canvas and you see this screen, you are in the right place.
